PLEASE….just remember: NO RESPONSIBLE/ETHICAL BREEDER WILL EVER SELL PUPPIES TO A PET SHOP OR PUPPY BROKER!!!!
Stop Puppy Mills: It Starts With YOU The majority of pet stores that sell puppies carry dogs from puppy mills. Puppy mills are like dog-making factories where mother dogs spend their entire lives in cramped cages or kennels with little or no personal attention. When the mother and father dogs can no longer breed, they are discarded or killed. Sadly, consumers who purchase puppies from pet stores are often unknowingly supporting this cruel industry. Help stop this cycle of cruelty from Puppy Mills and purchase from a responsible breeder who ideally will not have a problem having you come visit. There are puppy mill puppies all over Arizona too. So if you do go to their home and you don’t get a good vibe….walk away. If you choose to get a puppy from a breeder out of state and you need to have it shipped….that’s ok. There are reputable breeders all over. You just need to be more diligent. I have shipped many, many pups over the years all over the country. I have never had a problem with the airlines not taking good care of them. The horror stories I have read about in connection with the airlines and air cargo usually have to do with larger dogs who have managed to break out of their crates etc. Min Pins aren’t that strong….the main thing is to do your research about the breeder. Ask for references but mostly feel comfortable with whoever you’re working with. If someone is offering several breeds, I would be leary. They could be puppy brokers who contract to buy puppies from breeders all over the country…and resell them for a ton of $$. Or they could be a Miller. The purchase of a purebred puppy for a companion should NOT cost an arm and a leg. And if the breeder will allow you to breed this puppy…they are not a responsible breeder. They are obviously someone who doesn’t care about their puppies because breeding should be left up to breeders … lots of flags to look for.
Do even more by refusing to buy pet supplies from any store or website that sells puppies. Where you spend your dollars makes a difference! MORE INFO HERE: JUST GOOGLE PUPPY MILLS
